Security forces have recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and narcotics from a forest area near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the army said on Wednesday (Dec 18, 2024).
Acting on a specific intelligence tip-off, the army and police launched a joint search operation on Tuesday (December 17, 2024) in the Amrohi area of Tangdhar near the LoC.

“During the search, four pistols, six pistol magazines, about four kilograms of narcotics and other war-like stores have been recovered,” the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps posted on its ax handle.
“#ChinarCorps remains steadfast in its commitment to keep Kashmir free of terrorism,” it added.
