Belagavi: Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order a detailed CBI probe into various cases including the Mysuru Muda scam, waqf irregularities highlighted in the Anwar Manipadi report and the Rs 150 crore corruption charges against him.
“Let there be a CBI inquiry into the Rs 150 crore allegation against me as well. Accept Anwar Manippadi’s report and initiate a deep CBI probe into this as well,” challenged Vijayendra while talking to reporters at Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi.
He stressed the need for a detailed investigation into irregularities in waqf properties worth lakhs of crores.
Criticizing the ruling Congress party, he alleged that pressing issues such as maternal mortality, infant mortality and the problems of North Karnataka were brought up in the Legislative Assembly and deliberately neglected to discuss them.
Vijayendra accused the Congress government of misusing the interim report of the Justice Cunha Commission and filing an FIR against Yeddyurappa with malicious political motives.
“This is not the first time that Siddaramaiah has adopted such a strategy. Earlier during his tenure, 25 cases were filed to politically target Yeddyurappa and the BJP,” Vijayendra said.
He claimed it was part of the conspiracy because the Congress feared a resurgence of the BJP if Yeddyurappa became the state president.
Vijayendra also accused Siddaramaiah of being involved in various scams including Muda, Valmiki Corporation, and excise department irregularities.
He alleged that Congress leader Priyank Kharge’s recent allegations against him lacked credibility, “Recently Priyank’s own misdeeds have also come to light.”
Vijayendra claimed that Rahul Kharge had illegally sanctioned five acres of land near Bengaluru International Airport, worth hundreds of crores of rupees. “Priyank Kharge, have you returned that land?” He questioned.
