Chennai: State Planning Commission Executive Vice Chairman J Jayaranjan submitted to Chief Minister MK Stalin four draft policies and five reports and studies on the impact of state welfare schemes such as Chief Minister Breakfast Yojana, Pudumai Pen Yojana and Ennam Ezhuthum Yojana. The draft policies were on Sustainable Land Use, Employment, Water, Community Dog Management and Regulation and the studies were on Urban Heat Island – Hotspot Analysis and Mitigation Strategies for Tamil Nadu and Opportunities for District Cooling System in Tamil Nadu.
The State Planning Commission, chaired by the Chief Minister, is responsible for many tasks of evaluating the major programs of the government, studying and drafting policies for the government.
