Five people, including a photojournalist, were killed in an airstrike by the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza on Sunday, targeting the offices of the Civil Defense Service in the Nuserat camp area of central Gaza.
Ahmed Al-Louh, 39, journalist with a Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera He was killed in an Israeli strike amid the ongoing war in the Palestinian territories between Israel and the Hamas militant group.
According to a CNN report, Al Jazeera Condemned the attack and the Civil Defense Service said Ahmed was “brutally killed” while trying to save a family injured in the attack.
“Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed al-Louh was killed in an Israeli bombardment today Sunday,” the news channel’s website wrote.
The IDF confirmed the attack on the Civil Defense office in Gaza and claimed the office was being used as a “command-and-control center” for the Hamas militant group.
The IDF further said that Ahmed, the Al Jazeera journalist killed in the attack, was a “terrorist” who had previously been part of Islamic Jihad, it reported. CNN. However, Israel has not provided any evidence to support the alleged claims.
