Golden Andhra Vision 2047 aims for development above caste and religion: PK

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has said that the Golden Andhra Vision 2047 document has been carefully prepared keeping in mind the recommendations of many intellectuals.

He said while participating in ‘Amarjeev Poti Sriramulu Atmarpan Dinotsavam’ organized at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here that the state aims to develop without discrimination of caste and religion through Vision 2047.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan jointly released a book highlighting the sacrifices of Potti Sriramulu.

PK said, “Potti Sriramulu fasted unto death for the long-held dream of a separate state of the Andhras. Sriramulu was a key figure in the establishment of linguistically based states and not just of a particular community or caste but of the entire He was a leader of the Andhra caste.

“The best tribute we can pay to Potti Sriramulu is to achieve comprehensive development of Andhra Pradesh, propelling it into a $2.2 trillion economy.”

He commented, “Potti Sriramulu’s greatness became evident after the partition of the state. His idol is nowhere to be found except in the Arya Vaishya community. He is not just a leader of any one caste or community but a respected leader across the country.”

Sriramulu sacrificed his life for the self-respect and survival of the Telugu people, especially at a time when the country was divided on communal lines and the establishment of linguistically based states was opposed by the national leadership led by the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

“While Potti Sriramulu dreamed of a state for the Andhras, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao fought for the self-respect of the Telugu people. Running a political party is challenging, framing government policies for five crore people is even more challenging. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu successfully manages governance and brings it closer to the people. ,” added PK.
