Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday said alleged links between the Congress and the Hungarian-American businessman should be taken “serious” and urged the opposition parties to fight unitedly against “anti-Indian forces”. The BJP minister’s statement came a day after the BJP alleged that former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has links with an organization funded by the George Soros Foundation and which supports Kashmir as an independent state.

“We have told the Congress and other parties that we will discuss the constitution on December 13 and 14 (in the Lok Sabha) and December 16 and 17 (in the Rajya Sabha),” he added.
BJP claims on Sonia Gandhi-George Soros link
The BJP on Sunday alleged that former Congress president Sonia Gandhi is the co-chairperson of the Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation, which is linked to an organization funded by the George Soros Foundation.
“Notably, the FDL-AP Foundation has expressed its view of treating Kashmir as a separate entity,” the BJP said.
The ruling party has repeatedly accused Soros of being an anti-national force, with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar calling him “outdated, ideological and dangerous” in February 2023.
Earlier on Thursday, BJP MP Sambit Patra called Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LOP) Rahul Gandhi a “traitor of the highest order”, accusing him of conspiring to “destabilize” the country.
Along with Gandhi, Patra named George Soros and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a global group of investigative journalists. forming a “dangerous triangle”.
