Christmas was celebrated in Warangal and Karimnagar

Warangal/Karimnagar: Christmas, the birth day of Jesus, was celebrated on a grand note in several churches in East Karimnagar and Warangal districts on Wednesday.

Several churches in Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet and Karimnagar towns were decorated with bright lights and various events were organized to celebrate the day for the past one week.

Children dressed in traditional clothes participated in various programs including singing, dancing, acting and distributed sweets and gifts to each other.

The atmosphere was mesmerized by the melodious tunes of carols and hymns along with the display of a lovely diorama depicting the birth of Christ. People prayed with the Holy Bible in hand.

Special prayers were held from early times in many churches including Christ Jyoti, CSI Centenary Wesley, CBC Church, Telugu Baptist, Calvary Baptist and Bethesda Baptist, Centenary Baptist, St. Mary’s, Omega Church, Good Shepherd, Faith Home Ministry. Church leaders and pastors.

Participating in the function held at Christu Jyoti Church in Station Ghanpur Constituency, MLA Kadiam Srihari praised the life of Jesus Christ and highlighted how his teachings of love, patience, sacrifice and charity have guided humanity to the right path.

The Kamlapuram Christ Jyoti prayer hall, which is considered to be the largest church in Asia, is a boon for the residents of Station Ghanpur, the MLA said that he is committed to further develop it and make it a tourist hub.

Chief Whip of the Government and MLA from Vemulawada Adi Srinivas while participating in the celebrations at Shatrajpalli in Vemulawada said, it is a special day for all people especially people from Christian community and it has a very important spiritual significance. The message of Christmas is to strengthen people’s faith and hope for a better future for all.

Karimnagar CSI Centenary Wesley Church witnessed thousands of people from around the city and beyond. The priests said in their sermon that Jesus’ message of love, tolerance and brotherhood was effectively conveyed to humanity.
