The death toll in a tanker fire in Jaipur has reached 17

Last Friday (December 20, 2024), two more people who were seriously injured in the tanker fire in Jaipur died during treatment at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital, taking the death toll to 17.

Another 16 people are being treated. SMS Hospital Superintendent Sushil Bhati said that one man and one woman died on Wednesday (December 25, 2024) afternoon.

He said that with the death of two more people, 17 people have died so far.

Mr. Bhati said that the condition of three of the injured is critical.

On December 20, an LPG tanker collided with a truck, setting off a huge fireball that turned a section of the Jaipur-Ajmer highway into an inferno. 11 people died on the day of the incident.
