Hyderabad: BRS executive president KT Rama Rao alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was diverting public attention by raising unrelated issues. In an open letter on Sunday, he has claimed that the Congress has spread lies in the assembly regarding the Ryathubandhu scheme.
Rama Rao claimed that the government neglected to answer the critical questions raised on Rithu Bandhu. “The Congress government’s plan to align Rithu Bharosa with the central PM-Kisan guidelines will deny benefits to half the farmers in Telangana,” he claimed. “This is a deliberate attempt to cut benefits and cheat the farming community.”
He termed the Congress’s allegation that the Rithu Bandhu Fund was spent on real estate as “baseless propaganda aimed at maligning farmers and the previous government’s initiatives”.
Highlighting the achievements of the BRS government, Rama Rao criticized the Congress government for failing to fulfill its pre-election promise of Rs 15,000 per acre annually under Rithu Bharosa.
