Uttar Andhra Ambedrites Association President Pandranki Venkata Raman on Sunday (Dec 22, 2024) urged the Central Government to remove Union Home Minister Amit Shah from the Cabinet for making derogatory remarks against Bharat Ratna BR Ambedkar, who is considered a temple in Parliament. Along with members of the association, he staged a protest near the Vizianagaram railway station demanding the immediate removal of Mr. Shah from the cabinet. Speaking to mediapersons on the occasion, he said that Mr. Shah’s alleged remarks had hurt the sentiments of Ambedkar’s followers and the downtrodden sections of the country.

He said leaders of several political parties, including Telugu Desam Party, Janasena Party and YSR Congress Party, have not condemned the comments fearing that the Narendra Modi government is using the Central Bureau of Investigation to register false cases. Enforcement Directorate and other organizations harass them with false cases. Union leader G. Simhachalam, d. Venkatesh and others were present.
