Chairman of Swachh Andhra Corporation studies waste management practices in Pune

Swachh Andhra Corporation President Kommereddy Pattabhi Ram interacted with Swachh Sahakari Samaj, Pune (SCS) Director Vidyawati and staff on Friday.

He said in a press release that sanitation management practices in Pune were among the best in the country and he aimed to replicate the same in Andhra Pradesh.

SCS was formed by around 8,000 rag-pickers to collect wet and dry waste from households, transfer segregated and segregated waste to the station, from where it is sent to processing units as a systematic process. .

The dry waste, such as plastic covers, water bottles, and PET bottles, is then sold through the cooperative, earning each member ₹25,000 per month.
