According to the police, two jawans of 241 battalion of Cobra were injured when the Maoists attacked the Forward Operating Base (FOB) established at Gomguda under Chintalnar police station, which is considered to be the main area of ​​Naxals in Sukma district, with barrel grenade launchers (BGLs). .

According to the police, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security personnel stationed at the FOB and the Maoists.

Later, the Maoists fled the area.

The two jawans were stationed in the outer layer of the FOB when the Maoists attacked the camp.

According to police officials, 16 security camps have been opened in Sukma district, the stronghold of Naxals, to the disappointment of the Maoists.

Sources said that FOBs have been opened in the main Maoist areas of the region to flush out the militants from the region.
