Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Chairman M. Mohan Krishna said on Saturday that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was keen to transform the state into a tech hub.
Addressing the concluding session of the two-day Research Scholars Conference organized by SRM University-AP, he said that 153 services have been proposed to be launched under the State Government’s WhatsApp Governance Initiative. “Such ideas show how technological advancements benefit governance and thereby society,” he said.
Representatives from 27 universities from the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated and a total of 243 abstracts were submitted. The two-day conference had four major themes including Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Life Sciences, Agriculture and Fisheries, Management, Social Sciences, Humanities and Applied Sciences, and Computational Physics.
SRM University-AP Vice Chancellor Manoj K. Arora urged the students to use such platforms for exchanging ideas and career advancement. Talking about the achievements of the university, he said that in the seven and a half years since its establishment, the institution has established its presence in the scientific scene. He asked the research scholars participating in the program to prioritize their research to find solutions to existing problems in the society.
18 gold medals and 14 silver medals were awarded for the best papers as well as special mention awards in various categories for exemplary contributions. In the program, Dr. Sibendu Samant, Jatis Kumar Das and Manikant Bandlamudi were the coordinators.
