YouTuber Rajveer Shishodia was arrested and later released after allegedly assaulting a car driver in a road rage incident on Thursday, Noida police said.
Dhruv Bhushan Dubey, Station House Officer (SHO), Noida Phase-3 Police Station, said that in the alleged viral video of the incident, Shishodia assaulted Satendra Kumar Singh after hitting him with his car. The incident happened in the first week of December, he said.
After the video went viral, the police approached Singh and he registered a complaint against Shishodia, SHO Dubey said. “A case was registered on Wednesday under sections 115 (2) (intentionally causing hurt), 352 (intentionally causing hurt) and 351 (2) (aggravation) of the Indian Penal Code and the accused was arrested and released,” he said.
The incident took place when Shishodia was driving towards Greater Noida West in his car. It is said that Singh’s car hit his vehicle near Parthala flyover. In the video, Shishodia is heard allegedly saying that Singh rammed his car and damaged other vehicles. In a 30-second video clip of the alleged incident, Shishodia can be seen slapping and abusing the man.
Shishodia has over 5 million followers on Instagram and 3 million followers on his YouTube channel Raj-Veer Fitness Series.
