A shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, that left two people dead appears to be a “combination of factors,” police said, appealing to the public for information about the 15-year-old shooter. Suicide gunshots.
A teacher and a student were killed and six others were injured in the shooting that took place on Tuesday, in which the suspect, Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupno, shot herself in the study hall of the school.
Madison Police Chief Shawn Barnes said the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School will be investigated as a possible motive, but he did not provide a specific motive for the shooting.

“Identifying the motive is our top priority, but at this time the motive appears to be a combination of factors,” Barnes reported. Associated Press.
Police are also investigating deceased suspect Natalie Rupno’s writings to determine if Barnes could shed light on her destructive actions. “There are always signs of school shootings. We are looking at his online activity,” he added.
In addition to the death of two people, six people were injured, two of them are in serious condition.
Barbara Wiers, the school’s director of elementary and school relations, said safety drills were being performed at the schools but had not been announced Monday, just days before Christmas break. “When they heard ‘lockdown, lockout,’ they knew it was real,” she said.
It was a second-grade teacher who first called 911 around 11 a.m. to report the school shooting in Madison. The suspect’s parents are divorced and have joint custody of their child, but the shooter often lived with his 42-year-old father, court documents revealed.
