A married couple recently stabbed and shot each other to death in a violent fight inside their home in Washington, US, while their 11-year-old son was playing video games in another room.
Unaware of the incident because he was wearing earbuds, the son found his parents dead on the kitchen floor and called 911. However, emergency responders were unable to revive them. The incident happened a few weeks ago during Halloween.
The victims have been identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa39, according to a New York Post report.
As quoted by the New York Post, the sheriff’s office said, “Detectives learned that Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa were having relationship problems and intended to separate.
Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, while Robles Ochoa suffered stab wounds and gunshot wounds.
Officers recovered a knife and a gun from the scene. The gun was reported stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer, with the theft discovered only after the incident.
The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office An investigation is underway, but the perpetrators of the violence are yet to be ascertained.
According to the New York Post, the couple’s son is now in the care of family members.
