The Andhra Pradesh State Citizens Supply Corporation Limited (APSCSCL) and the Krishna Police have launched an investigation into the alleged disappearance of rice stock from a private godown rented by APSCSCL in Machilipatnam.

According to sources, the godown owners have paid Rs 1.07 crore as fine to the government.
speaking with Hindu On Monday, Krishna Superintendent of Police R Gangadhar Rao said a case has been registered and investigation is underway based on a complaint lodged by APSCCL officials. “The Bandar taluk police and APSSCCL officials inspected the godown on Monday (December 16),” the SP said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Jaya Sudha filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Machilipatnam court on Monday, and the hearing was adjourned to December 19.
