Thief fell from the pipeline on the first floor of Balewadi Hospital: Police Pune news

On Thursday morning, a thief tried to steal from the first floor of Alishan Residential Society in Balewadi area. Locals caught him and handed him over to the Pune police.

Police said that the accused, 32-year-old Bappa Sarkar, was admitted to the hospital for treatment. An FIR was registered at Baner police station in this matter.

The Mumbai resident had come to Pune to steal the government and entered the Aeon Society in Balewadi around 4 am on Thursday, police said. Climb the pipeline to reach the gallery of the apartment on the first floor. However, when he tried to enter the apartment, the residents woke up after hearing noises. While trying to catch the thief, he got down from the same pipeline and tried to escape, but fell from a height of about 20 feet.

Soon, security guards and other residents of the building caught the thief. Baner police team reached the spot and arrested the thief.

A police officer said, β€œThe thief sustained injuries and has been admitted to hospital. He has not been arrested yet.” According to the police, the investigation is on whether the accused has committed more crimes in the past or not.
