The US State Department said on Friday it would impose visa restrictions on several people responsible for the ongoing conflict in South Sudan.
“We note the continued failure of the leaders of South Sudan to use the nation’s resources for the benefit of the people, failure to end public corruption and elite capture of the country’s resources, failure to protect the people of South Sudan from abuses and violations. their human rights, including civil and political rights, and failed to maintain peace,” the State Department said.
