“He was rescued from the rubble by the National Disaster Management Force (NDRF) in a critical condition. He was rushed to Sohana Hospital,” said Viraj S Tidke, deputy commissioner of the office. Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against the owners of the building. Speaking to ANI, DSP Harsimran Singh Bal said, “Eviction work is going on. We have registered an FIR against the owners of the building.” On Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that action will be taken against the culprits after the under-construction building collapsed.
In a post on X, CM Mann said, “Received sad news of a multi-storied building accident near Sohana in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali). Full administration and other rescue operation teams have been deployed at the spot. I am there. In constant touch with the administration. The administration is requested to take action against the culprits so that there is no loss of property.
