The AP government has signed three MoUs to create employment opportunities for the youth

The Society for Employment Generation and Enterprise Development in Andhra Pradesh (SEEDAP) on Thursday signed major agreements with three major organizations to create employment opportunities for the youth in the state.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Human Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Nar Lokesh at his Undavalli residence.

Through these collaborations, the government aims to promote skill development, enhance self-employment opportunities and improve the economic prosperity of economically weaker households in rural areas.

Foreign employment

A partnership was signed with 2Coms Group for international job placement. Through this collaboration, the government aims to provide overseas employment opportunities to young people who are in high demand for skilled professionals in Germany, Qatar and other countries.

The deal covers sectors such as healthcare, mechanical engineering, industrial electronics and home care. The government aims to place 1,100 skilled nurses and 400 mechatronics professionals in Germany over the next two years, train 300 industrial electricians for Germany and 200 home care nurses in Doha, Qatar.

SEEDAP will train candidates in job-specific skills, language proficiency, and visa processing with the help of 2Coms.

30,000 food processing units by 2029

The MoU with the food processing society aims to create employment in rural areas. The aim is to develop food processing industries in rural Andhra Pradesh by identifying and training young entrepreneurs and job seekers. The target is to set up 30,000 food processing units by 2029. 679 District Resource Persons (DRPs) will also be trained to identify and support rural youth aged 18 to 35, including school and college dropouts.

Skill oriented career

The third MoU is with Centurion University to enhance skill development and entrepreneurship through training programs in smart agriculture, apparel manufacturing, auto parts manufacturing and other sectors.

There is a plan to create 30,000 jobs in the next two years, targeting rural youth for self-employment and skill-based occupations.

Mr. Lokesh said that the government will not make any compromises in the interest of the youth of the state and will remove all facilities to ensure job creation.
