VisakhapatnamThe Narsipatnam NTR Government Hospital Development Committee meeting chaired by Speaker Ayyanna Patru has decided to expand the 150-bed hospital to a 200-bed facility.
The Speaker said that he would take the initiative to get the necessary approval. DCHS Srinivas, RDO Ramana, Municipal Commissioner Surendra, Superintendent Dr. Sudhasharada, and others were present.
The speaker expressed his commitment to provide financial support for the development of the hospital and suggested holding a monthly meeting of the committee. He asked for details of patients referred to private hospitals in the last five years, along with the reason for their referral.
The committee has decided to install a solar system in the newly constructed building and improve sanitation and food for the patients.
The Speaker stressed that the existing doctor’s quarters should be repaired and put to good use. He promised to allocate Rs 15 lakh for this.
The committee decided to repair the ambulance and mentioned that Anakapalle MP had promised to provide a new ambulance. Acknowledging the need for a CT scan machine, DCHS Srinivas estimated the cost at Rs 2.5 crore. The speaker promised to provide funds from NRIs and the government for this.
In addition, new color bed sheets will be used for patients and Anna Canteen will provide food to patients and their helpers.
The Speaker thanked Anakapalle Collector Vijaya Krishnan for his support and appealed to support the development of Anakapalle and Narasipatnam Hospitals through CSR grants and NRI contributions.
