Visakhapatnam: The Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) living in eleven hill villages under the jurisdiction of Pinakota, Peddakota and Jinubadu Panchayat have formally appealed to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to visit their remote hamlets. The tribal community has specifically requested the Deputy Chief Minister to visit at least two villages Rachakilam and Gummanthi to observe their challenges firsthand.
Collectively around 1,500 families live in these eleven hill villages of Anantagiri mandal. The tribe has emphasized on the need to improve road infrastructure to facilitate access to essential services such as ambulances. They said that the road construction from Ballagaru to Gumanthi via Dayarthi is important to solve this problem. Currently, lack of adequate road connectivity prevents ambulances from reaching Rachakilam village.
After Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced that he would visit the area, ASR District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar initially thought of holding a public meeting for the Deputy Chief Minister in Gummanthi village. However, due to inadequate road access, the venue was shifted to Ballagorubhu village, where the authorities constructed a BT road to accommodate the event.
Despite the change of venue, tribal leaders of eleven hill villages have reiterated their request to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to visit their communities. They believe that by visiting Rachkilam and Gummanthi, the Deputy Chief Minister will get detailed information about their situation and the urgency of road construction. In addition, the tribal representatives met the Deputy Chief Minister along with ASR District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar, ITDA Project Officer V. Abhishek and other senior officials have been asked to direct them to give priority to road infrastructure development in their villages.
