Omega International School crowned champions, Chennai’s premier U-16 football tournament

Grand Finale of Chennai’s Premier U-16 Football Tournament organized in association with Vellore International School (VIS) HinduOmega International School ended as champions.

KC High International School became the runner-up.

In an exciting match, Omega International School dominated the game and won 6-0. The winning team received Rs 75,000 in cash and the runner-up received Rs 50,000.

Top performers

Ritish Kumar of Omega International School was declared ‘Player of the Tournament’. Among the other individual performers, Siddharth of Omega International School won the Golden Glove, while Adhitya (Omega International School) won the Golden Ball. The Golden Boot was won by Aryan, KC High International School, while the Fair Play Award was won by Vellore International School (VIS).

Mr. Venkatesh praised the parents for encouraging the young players. “It is heartening to see parents motivating their children to balance sports and academics. Wins and losses are part of the journey, and this is the most important participation,” he said. Mr. Selvam expressed pride in successfully organizing 64 matches with 32 participating schools.
