NEET PG Counseling 2024: MCC Releases Important Notice Regarding Resignation Facility, Check Details Here

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has issued a notification regarding the release of seats from round 1 and 2. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 or 2 can resign their seats through the official website, mcc.nic.inUntil December 26, 2024.
An official notification said, ‘MCC is receiving many requests from PG candidates who want to resign from their round-1 or round-2 seats due to various reasons. In this regard, the competent authority has decided to resign such candidates. Candidates who wish to vacate their Round-1 or Round-2 seats can do so from 17.12.2024 4:00 PM to 26.12.2024 06:00 PM.’
As per notification, candidates need to note the following instructions:

  • A newly allotted candidate of Round 2 who joins his seat but now wants to resign can vacate the seat by forfeiting the bond within the prescribed period of resignation.
  • Candidates who were promoted in round 2 and joined the upgraded seat but now want to resign from their seat can vacate the seat by forfeiting the deposit within the time of resignation.
  • Candidates are advised to ensure that their resignation letter is generated online by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘null and void’.

Apart from this, MCC has issued another notification to the participating PG institutes. As per notification, intramcc portal is now open for contribution of seats for Round 3 of PG Counseling 2024. The notification said, ‘Colleges/Institutions whose seats have been increased by NMC after completion of Round-II of PG Counseling 2024 can contribute additional seats/new seats to the portal. New seats obtained due to new LoPs and appeals can be contributed to the intramcc portal.’
