Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Gandhinagar, Department of Science and Technology, Gujarat, has been recognized as an educational institution partner for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQST-2025).
The United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. According to officials, the festival will highlight quantum science, its transformative applications, and its potential to shape the future of innovation, education and global development.
“To chart a strategic and visionary roadmap for the festival, Gujcoast in collaboration with Gujarat Science City is organizing a day-long brainstorming session on December 27 (Friday) at Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad. This pivotal event will invite 60 eminent scientists, educationists, and science communicators from across the state to design innovative action plans. will be called upon to do so and ensure effective implementation in their respective domains,โ Narottam Sahu, Adviser and Member Secretary, Gujcoast said
This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering innovation, cultivating scientific curiosity and leading effective outreach initiatives to make every day a โQuantum Dayโ by 2025.
Endorsed by the United Nations and coordinated by UNESCO, this year-long effort aims to increase public engagement in quantum science and technology and strengthen national capabilities, officials said.
