External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be on a six-day visit to the United States from December 24, 2024, the External Affairs Ministry said on Monday (December 23, 2024).
Mr. Jaishankar is traveling to the US ahead of the swearing-in of President-elect Donald Trump.
This will be the first high-level visit to the US from India after Donald Trump won the presidential election.
“External Minister S Jaishankar will visit the United States from December 24-29,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
“He will meet with counterparts to discuss key bilateral, regional and global issues,” a brief statement said.
The Ministry of External Affairs said Mr. Jaishankar will also chair a conference of Indian Consul Generals in the US.
