Hindu group forces food delivery agent to remove Santa costume

Indore: In a controversial incident over Christmas, a food delivery agent in Indore was forced to remove his Santa Claus outfit by members of the right-wing group Hindu Jagran Manch. A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the delivery agent confronting him as he goes to place the order.

A Zomato delivery agent wearing a red Santa jacket and hat was interrogated by a Hindu Jagran Manch activist. In the video, the worker is heard asking the agent why he is wearing a Santa Claus costume. “Do you ever dress up as Lord Rama and go to people’s houses on Diwali?” he asked.

The delivery agent said he wore the dress as per his company’s instructions, saying it was for promotional purposes during Christmas. However, the group member insisted that the outfit sent the “wrong message” and questioned the agent’s decision to comply.

Although the delivery agent tried to argue, stating that taking selfies with customers is part of the requirement of the dress, he was forced to remove the dress. The entire encounter was captured on video and later shared widely on social media.

The incident sparked outrage online, with many condemning the Hindu Jagran Manch’s actions as an attack on personal freedom and the spirit of Christmas.
