Gujarat Government sanctioned 24 new Primary Health Centres Ahmedabad news

This week, the state government has given in-principle approval for the construction of 24 primary health centers (PHC) in various districts of the state.

According to a statement on Saturday, Health Minister Rushikesh Patel said that these centers will be important to make the rural health infrastructure of the state more robust and useful for the people.

He added that currently health centers are approved in the state as per the central government’s rural population norms.

According to the criteria, one primary health center is approved for a population of 30,000 in general areas and 20,000 in tribal areas.

At present, a total of 1,499 primary health centers are sanctioned and functioning in the state as per rural population norms of 2011.

At present, in the approval of these primary centers, the distance between the health centers based on geographical conditions has been approved on the basis of geo-spatial analysis, regardless of the population criteria. . So that health services can be easily provided in remote and remote areas.

A medical officer, laboratory technician, junior pharmacist, senior clerk and other staff are appointed in the primary health center.
