Former minister Ambati Rambabu has been prosecuted on the allegation of stopping the police from performing their duties

Vijayawada: Former minister and YSRC senior leader Ambati Rambabu found himself in a unique position when the police filed a case against him after he protested demanding the arrest of TDs and Jana Sena workers who posted objectionable posts against the YSRC.

Two days ago, Ambati, along with several YSRC leaders, reached Pattavipuram police station in Guntur district and sat on the steps with placards at the gate demanding that police take action against TDs and Jana Sena workers for their anti-YSRC posts. Social media.

As the police force was busy with the work of President Draupadi Murmu, who had come to the state to attend the first convocation ceremony of Mangalagiri AIIMS, the police asked the former minister to come the next day. However, the police filed a case against Ambati and her party leaders.

However, instead of registering a case against the ruling party leaders, the police registered a case against Ambati and some YSRC leaders for preventing the police from performing their duties.

“Instead of filing a case after my complaint, they filed a case against me. This is unfair,” Ambati said.

Responding to the development, Ambati said he does not blame the police for the issue. It was filed at the behest of TD Sanjaj and Minister Lokesh, he tweeted.

It is said that the police will issue a notice to Rambabu and other leaders and call them for questioning.
