The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (December 26, 2024) accused the Congress of putting up welcome banners with a distorted map of India ahead of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Belagavi, Karnataka, and asked the party whether it. It is following the “signals” of anti-India forces like US-based billionaire investor George Soros.

The BJP’s allegation came after its Karnataka unit posted X pictures of banners and welcome flexes held by the Congress in Karnataka ahead of its working committee meeting.

Karnataka CM unveils statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Belagavi

“@INCKarnataka has completely disrespected India’s sovereignty by showing a distorted map in its Belagavi program, depicting Kashmir as part of Pakistan. All this to please its vote bank. It’s shameful!” Karnataka BJP posted on X with pictures. There was no immediate response from the Congress to the BJP’s allegations.

“Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin appear to be missing from the map used by the Congress. Importantly, it (the map) has been used with a picture of Mahatma Gandhi,” BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told a presser. Conference held at party headquarters in New Delhi.

He alleged that this is not the first time that the Congress has used a distorted map of India. He alleged that he had done this many times before. “Why is the map of India being shown after removing various parts of the country? Is it just a coincidence or part of a systematic anti-India exercise? Whose permission is this being done?” Trivedi asked.

He said, “Is there any indication from any Soros secret service or any other anti-India forces abroad with whom you are always on good terms?” The BJP leader alleged that the Congress’s “nexus” with forces that dreamed of dismembering India had become “perfectly clear”, adding that the party had used a “distorted” map of the country.

“I want to assure everyone that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is vigilant about all such forces. We are fully confident that the people of the country are equally vigilant and keep an eye on such forces,” Mr. Trivedi said, “Such elements never succeed in achieving their goals. “No anti-India force can stop the country’s progress and growing power,” he said.

The Expanded Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet on Thursday (December 26, 2024) in Belagavi.
