Two BJP MPs were discharged from the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Monday (December 23, 2024) after sustaining head injuries in a clash between opposition and NDA members in Parliament premises, officials said.

On December 19, 69-year-old Pratap Sarangi from Odisha and Mukesh Rajput from Uttar Pradesh were brought to the hospital from Parliament after suffering head injuries.

“The condition of both MPs is very good now and they have been discharged,” said a senior doctor.

They were kept under observation in the ICU and shifted to the ward on Saturday (December 21, 2024).

The doctors said that Mr. Sarangi had a chronic problem in his heart and a stent in his heart.

Dr Shukla MS of RML Hospital had earlier said that MRI and CT scan did not reveal anything significant about the injury.

Dr. According to Shukla, Sarangi was bleeding profusely when he was brought in. “He had a deep cut on his forehead and needed stitches,” he said.

“Rajput also suffered a head injury, after which he fell unconscious. However, the MP was conscious when he was brought to the hospital. His blood pressure had increased,” said Dr Shukla.
