Bumrah took 6 wickets after Australia scored 445 runs in the first innings

Brisbane: On the third day of the third Test against India on Monday, Australia were bowled out for 445 runs in the first innings. Returning to their overnight score of seven wickets of 405 runs, the hosts put up a strong total of 40 runs.

On the second day, Alex Carey (70) continued to disappoint India after two centuries from Travis Head and Steve Smith. Carey completed his half-century in 53 balls as he swept the ball over the fine-leg boundary.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah (6/76) had Mitchell Starc caught behind for the first wicket of the day. This is Bumrah’s 50th wicket in Australia.

Mohammad Siraj bowled Nathan Lyon before Akash Deep caught Carey at deep mid-wicket to end Australia’s innings.

On Sunday, Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) scored back-to-back centuries to take Australia to a strong score.

The five match series has been tied at 1-1.
