In 2023, Microsoft unveiled Bing Image Creator, an AI-powered text-to-image generator powered by DALL-E. Now, the tech giant is rolling out a bunch of new features and upgrades to the generative AI-powered device.
In a blog post, Microsoft announced that Bin Image Creator is now powered by the DALL-E 3 model PR16, allowing users to generate images twice as fast as the previous version. The tech giant said it is also rolling out a new minimalist interface for Bing Image Creator’s desktop homepage that makes navigation easier and introduces the option to switch between light and dark modes.
Microsoft also announced a new feature for the Edge browser’s address bar that lets users generate images by typing “create image of image” after the image description. This is useful because it eliminates the hassle of navigating to the Bing Image Creator homepage to generate images. This feature is available in both the desktop and mobile versions of the app.
The tech giant is also making it easy to generate AI-powered tool-generated images. Now, users will be able to share the generated image with their friends and family on WhatsApp, Facebook and other apps from their mobile devices.
Microsoft says that all of the aforementioned features are currently rolling out to all platforms, but mobile users will have to wait a while before seeing the refreshed homepage.
