Center for Internet of Things (CIoT), Anna University and C-DAC, Bengaluru have signed an agreement to work towards offering M.Tech and post graduate diploma programs in cutting edge technology.
CIoT operates from the MIT campus on Chrompet. Established in 2022, it aims to promote the IoT ecosystem. The Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier research and development organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for research and development in IT, electronics and allied fields.
The MoU was recently signed in the presence of Anna University Registrar J Prakash. S. while D. Sudarshan, Executive Director, C-DAC, Bengaluru, Magesh Ethirajan, Director General, C-DAC presided over the MoU signing ceremony. Senior officers of both organizations participated in the program.
C-DAC officials said they will offer capacity building programs to students and working professionals through CIoT. Anna University and C-DAC will work together to offer M.Tech programs and post-graduate diploma programs in cutting edge technologies such as quantum computing, quantum electronics, semiconductor chip design, and high performance computing with the help of MeitY.
A center of excellence in the domain can also be established in the university. The agreement aims to focus on activities such as collaborative research and development programs through joint initiatives and projects to advance research and development in various scientific and technological fields.
This collaboration will continue in consulting to meet the needs of industries as well as disseminating research findings through publications in prestigious conferences and journals and publishing patents. The MoU envisages initiatives to improve teaching and research capabilities of faculty members through continuous professional development and training.
