Action against political comments on Tirumala Hill: TTD Chairman

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) president BR Naidu has issued a stern warning against using Tirumala as a platform for political commentary. In a recent statement, Naidu said anyone making political comments at the holy site would face strict action. He reiterated that Tirumala is a holy place, not a place for political debate.

“We have made it clear in the past, and we are repeating it again – Tirumala is not a political platform. We cannot tolerate any disturbance in its sanctity,” Naidu said. He added that the issue was discussed as a special agenda in the first meeting of the newly formed Board of Directors of TTD where it was unanimously decided to take firm steps to protect the sanctity of the temple hill.

The Speaker specifically referred to a recent incident involving a Telangana leader who had made political comments while visiting Tirumala. Naidu said that TTD is taking the matter seriously and will take necessary action against those involved.
