Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Wednesday inaugurated a three-day uniform manufacturing fair organized by the Solapur Garment Manufacturing Association (SGMA) in Bengaluru.
The three-day show is being held at Gate No. 8, Palace Grounds, Jaimahal, Bangalore.
The governor said, ‘It is a pleasure to know that more than 120 uniform brands are participating in the fair. I was delighted to see more than 10000 global uniform designs in all categories like school uniforms, workwear uniforms, corporate uniforms, industrial uniforms, airline uniforms.”
According to the governor, the expo gives an opportunity to MSMEs to showcase their products which will help in job creation and also increase their revenue earnings. “It is rare that a special apparel exhibition dedicated to the supply chain of clothing, uniforms, clothing, accessories, bags, shoes all under one roof has been organized,” he added.
The global uniform market is projected to grow from $8.4 billion currently to $25 billion by 2030, said Sunil Mengji, president of the Uniform Products Fair.
