An Airbnb host was shocked to find that guests had left their property in a complete mess. Sharing a before-and-after video on Instagram — which has now gone viral — showing the filthy state guests left the property, the host wrote in the caption that they don’t expect things to be left untouched. It was hard to justify the mess the guests left behind. “We can at least be a little more considerate,” they wrote.
The video shows dirty dishes, a grimy kitchen counter, and unclean induction cooktops. The video was then transferred innocently by the host.
“Enough with Paradise, after two years of hosting, we finally have some trouble coming our way,” the host wrote in the caption from his Instagram account “The Golden Perch.” They expressed how frustrating it was to try so hard, only to have it destroyed. “When you try and someone destroys it, something in you dies. But we need to focus on getting back up again and making things better,” they wrote.
The Airbnb owner also shared how challenging it can be to run a rental business. “Running Airbnb is not easy on the heart,” they wrote.
When confronted, the guests responded that the host should not have allowed the booking because they had infants traveling with them. The host revealed that it took a whole day to clean, as the property had an unpleasant smell from food left behind and there were ants in the room due to crumbs everywhere.

The video has been viewed by more than one lakh people on Instagram. But it has divided users. One user wrote, “If you can’t provide the service, don’t continue Airbnb, sell the property, you’re causing property prices to rise.”
Another user said, “So you suggest the guest clean the kitchen and the dishes and there’s any damage to your furniture? I will not take their side. It’s just that everyone should be a sensible traveler, but don’t create such content just for the sake of going viral.
A third person wrote, “I think Indians in the comment section don’t understand the concept of airbnb. The mess is bad. You can easily use a garbage bag to dispose of half the things on the counter. It’s about being mindful and respectful, which most Indians lack.”
A fourth person commented, “The comment section shows how Indian tourists don’t have basic knowledge and don’t understand the concept of Airbnb. It’s so sad to see people being so entitled because they don’t want to book a place.” Paid money.”
