Indiramma house survey in Adilabad takes off

Adilabad: The survey process of Indiramma houses in villages and towns of East Adilabad district has been accelerated. Collectors, revenue officers, and panchayat representatives are personally supervising the surveys and ensuring that the collected data is uploaded to the specific application.

Survey teams are collecting detailed information from applicants who have submitted their requests for Indiramma houses under the Praja Palla programme. They assess applicants’ previous housing under welfare schemes, ownership of land for construction, number of married couples living in their current home, length of stay in rented house, and certain land details if owned. Officials have been instructed to complete the survey by the end of the month.

In villages, village secretaries and NREGA staff are actively involved in the survey, while in municipalities, bill collectors, ward-level officials and junior municipal assistants take the lead. Along with the staff appointed by the government, the members of the Indiramma Committee are also participating in the field survey.

Assistant Collector Shraddha Shukla and Komaram Bhim Asifabad Collector Venkatesh Dhotre are supervising the survey at Adarshnagar, Kagaznagar. They have inquired about the progress of uploading data in the special application of Indiramma House. Collector Dhotre said that every Napi officer is responsible for surveying 500 houses and entering data on time. The staff has been given the responsibility to survey at least 25 houses daily and complete the survey within 20 days.

Sources said that around 80 lakh applications were received across the state during Praja Paltana for Indiramma houses. Former MPP from Utnoor, Pandra Jaywant Rao suggested prioritizing the survey for families who do not own their own houses and are living in rented houses to streamline the process. He emphasized that a transparent survey should be conducted by experienced government employees without including the members of the Indiramma Committee.

Adilabad Collector Rajarshi Shah recently supervised surveys in wards 44 and 49 of Adilabad city. He asked the employees to carefully upload the applicant’s information in the prescribed app to avoid errors.
