An ‘explosion’ was reported at the Islamabad Police Station in Punjab’s Amritsar on Tuesday morning, damaging cement sheets on the roof of the building and burning some wires.
According to the Amritsar Police, there was no casualty in the ‘explosion’ that was heard around 3:15 am. The police closed the gate of the station after the incident and said that the reason is yet to be revealed.
“There was no explosion. Voices have been heard, investigations are underway. Senior officials have reached the spot,” said Amritsar Assistant Commissioner of Police Jaspal Singh.
