According to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), Delhi’s air quality worsened further on Tuesday (December 17, 2024), with the level again crossing 400 points and falling to the ‘severe’ category.
At 7 am on Tuesday, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 421. Areas including Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri and Alipur had AQI values ranging from 400 to 470, indicating hazardous air quality.
Meanwhile, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has classified the local air quality in the “very poor” category.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the minimum temperature in Delhi was 5 degrees Celsius.
