He was 73 years old. Zakir Hussain was in critical condition in America. A 73-year-old man succumbed to complications arising from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
“He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, cherished by countless music lovers around the world, that will resonate for generations to come,” his family said in a statement.
He is survived by his wife Antonia Minnecola and daughters Anisa Qureshi and Isabella Qureshi.
