Bhumna accused the coalition government of targeting YSRC leaders

Tirupati: Former TTD president and YSRC Tirupati district president Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged that the NDA coalition government was trying to silence YSRC workers who spoke out against the tyranny of the ruling coalition leaders.

Addressing the media here on Monday, the former YSRC MLA condemned the government’s attempt to demolish the River View Resort at Srikalahasti on what he called false pretexts, even though all permissions had been taken. He described the move as a reprehensible act of political vendetta.

“This is not good governance; This is persecution. The resort is in full compliance with the law. However, the government is targeting the resort saying that our leaders have exposed their unjust practices, Bhumana alleged.

He pointed out that when senior YSRC leader and former MLA Biyapu Madhusudhan Reddy intervened to stop the demolition, the government filed a case against Madhusudhan Reddy accusing him of obstructing the authorities. “These baseless allegations are meant to intimidate Madhusudan Reddy, who was a staunch critic of this government’s atrocities,” he said.

The former TTD president termed the entire incident as a bigger agenda to suppress opposition voices and abuse administrative power for political gain. Expressing solidarity with Madhusudan Reddy, Bhumna vowed to fight against the undemocratic practices of the government.
