Tamil Nadu Planning Commission executive vice-chairman J Jeranjan presented the policies and reports prepared by the commission to Chief Minister MK Stalin at its secretariat in Chennai on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister and SPC Vice President Udayanidhi Stalin, Chief Secretary N Muruganandam and senior officers were present on the occasion.
The draft policies submitted to the Chief Minister include: Policy for Sustainable Land Use, Tamil Nadu Employment Policy 2023, Tamil Nadu State Water Policy and Community Dog Management and Regulation Policy. The reports submitted include benefits of major state government schemes like Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme in Tamil Nadu, Impact on Children in Primary Classes in Government Schools (Interim Report), Pudumai Pain Scheme, Ennam Ezhuthum Scheme.
Reports on studies such as Urban Heat Island – Hotspot Analysis and Mitigation Strategies for Tamil Nadu and Opportunities for District Cooling Systems in Tamil Nadu were also presented.
