Gurugram: Violent clashes broke out between two groups at restaurants in Gurugram’s Cyber City on Sunday night, resulting in significant property damage, including three autorickshaws and several motorcycles, police reported on Monday.
According to Shivaji Nagar Police Station Investigation Officer Padam Kishor, the fight started over a dispute over food and drinks. The situation quickly escalated, leading to the destruction of vehicles in the area.
In a further development, police were alerted to a car being set on fire near a restaurant involved in the clashes on Monday. However, authorities have not confirmed whether the incident is connected to the earlier clash or is separate.
“A scuffle broke out over food and drinks and as a result three autorickshaws and several motorcycles were damaged. We removed the damaged vehicles from the spot. Later, we were taken to a vehicle. A report of arson was received, but we are still unsure whether it is related to an initial fight or a different case,” the investigating officer said.
