It was a fairly silent year for Trisha in movies as she only made a brief appearance in a dance number in Vijay-Venkat Prabhu’s GOAT. However, he has 2025 jam-packed with back-to-back releases in multiple languages. One of the first such releases will be director Akhil Paul and Anas Khan’s Identity. The production side released the teaser of the film and revealed that it will hit the screens in January.

The director duo who previously made Forensic have teamed up once again Tovino Thomas For Identity, which has all the hallmarks of a gripping investigative thriller. The teaser begins with Trisha’s character Alisha recalling the details of a person’s face to sketch Tovino’s character. This memory is repeated in an interestingly cut teaser that introduces the other players in this thriller. From his description of John Doe running in the background, we see glimpses of Vinay Rai, Shammi Thilakan, Aju Varghese and Archana Kavi. There are also some intense chase sequences enhanced by Jacques Bejoy’s gripping score.
Cinematography by Akhil George and editing by Chaman Chacko, Identity is backed by Raju Mallyath’s Ragam Movies and Dr Roy CJ’s Confident Group banner.

Apart from identification, Trisha Magizh will also be seen in Thirumeni’s Ajith Kumar-starrer Vidamuyarchi, which is expected to hit the screens this Pongal. She will also be seen in Chiranjeevi’s much-anticipated fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Vasishtha, and the lead role in Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, which will hit the screens on June 5, 2025. Trisha is also a part of it. Ajith Kumar’s next, Good Bad Ugly, will be directed by Ravichandran, but there is no official update about it.
