Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Kirodi Lal Meena on Wednesday claimed that an “intelligence report” he said would derail the government’s upcoming showpiece Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, which is scheduled to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Prime Minister’s second meeting on December 17.

Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Meena said, “Intelligence reports have come that Dr. Kirodi Lal is trying to disrupt the Rising Rajasthan (Investment Summit). This is a very embarrassing report from the intelligence (bureau). Can I do this when I am a minister? I am a dedicated party worker and have been in politics for 50 years. Can I do something so stupid?”

The investment summit is scheduled in Jaipur between December 9 and 11, and will be inaugurated and addressed by the Prime Minister.

Meena claimed that β€œreports say that Dr Kirodi will disrupt the summit through farmers or victims of paper leaks. Safari worker (Cleaner) and he will also block the Prime Minister’s rally on the 17th.”

Meena’s brother Jagmohan Meena had recently lost the Dausa Assembly by-election, both claiming sabotage by some party workers. Ever since the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Kirodi Meena has been angry. He has also submitted his resignation from the post of Cabinet Minister to the Chief Minister.
