The Modi government is committed to building a terrorism-free India with a zero-tolerance policy, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday.
Mr. Shah said the two-day anti-terrorism conference starting here on Thursday will further strengthen coordination among agencies to strengthen India’s security bastion.

The government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is committed to root out its evil by adopting a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism, an official statement said.
The annual conference has over the years emerged as a meeting point for operational forces, technical, legal and forensic experts and agencies involved in counter-terrorism to discuss issues affecting national security and threats posed by terrorism.
The main focus of the conference is to develop synergy among various stakeholders by establishing channels for coordinated action against the menace of terrorism in the spirit of ‘whole of government approach’ and provide concrete inputs for future policy making, the statement said.
Discussions and discussions at the conference will focus on important issues including the development of legal frameworks, exchange of experiences and good practices in prosecution and counter-terrorism investigations.
The conference will also discuss challenges and opportunities related to emerging technologies, international legal cooperation and strategies to disrupt the terrorism ecosystem.
The conference will be attended by senior police officers from states and union territories, officials from central agencies and departments dealing with issues related to counter-terrorism and experts in related fields such as law, forensics and technology, the release said. PTI ACB IJT SKY SKY
