Mridangam scholar, Theperumanallur Varadharajan, 88, was honored with the Sangeet Sagar Award at the inaugural function of the 20th Margazhi Isai Vijha organized by the Sangeet Sagar Cultural Trust at Sri Ramakrishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School on Wednesday. Chairman of Pawai Sansthan Namakkal, V. Natarajan and former presidents of North American Tamil Sangam Federation Caldwell Velnambi and Bala Swaminathan were present on the occasion.
