Director General of Police Jitender said that the safety of the citizens is the most important and said that the promotion of the film is not as important as the safety of the citizens.
As far as actor Allu Arjun is concerned, we have nothing against any personality or person, the DGP said in response to a specific query while addressing the media after inaugurating the trust center of the women’s security wing of the state police in Karimnagar on Sunday.
Answering another question on the recent stampede during the premiere of Pushpa-2 Allu Arjun starrer at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad in which a woman died and her son was hospitalized, the DGP said, “Safety and security of citizens is important for everyone. Something has gone wrong. Such incidents are not good for the security of citizens,” he said.
Answering another question about the family dispute between veteran actor Mohan Babu and his son Manoj, he said, ‘It is their family matter. We have filed a case against both of them to prevent them from engaging in any activity that affects public order. We will proceed as per the law,” the DGP asserted.
To a specific question, the DGP said, “Don’t say that there is no Naxalism in the state. Our border states are affected and there is a lot of movement in those states. Members of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee are operating from Chhattisgarh.”
“They (Maoists) recently killed two people as informers. Our team conducted an area dominance operation which resulted in firing,” he said, referring to the death of seven Maoists in an ‘exchange of fire’ with the police in Mulugu district on December 1 this year.
Bharosa Kendra Bhawan has been constructed at Karimnagar with the help of State Bank of India (SBI). The One Stop Help Center for Women and Children has the necessary staff to extend medical, legal and counseling services to women and children in distress. There are 27 trust centers in the province.
